The goals of the Business Administration major are to:
- Equip the graduate with the appropriate knowledge, skills and background to pursue graduate studies in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law or other related areas; and
- Equip the graduate with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and background to pursue meaningful careers in the public or private sector.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the legal and ethical environment impacting business organizations and exhibit an understanding and appreciation of the ethical implications of decisions.
- Create presentations and business plans that articulate and apply financial, operational, organizational, market, and sales knowledge to identify paths to value creation through company formation, for-profit, nonprofit, and government agencies.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and appreciation for the importance of the impact of globalization and diversity in modern organizations.
- Demonstrate an ability to engage in critical thinking by analyzing situations and constructing and selecting viable solutions to solve problems.
- Evaluate real-world problems and projects by utilizing skills needed for customer development, customer validation, and competitive analysis.
